The Jewish Reconstructionist Movement

GreenFaith is partnering with the Reconstructionist Jewish movement to bring Reconstructionist leaders into GreenFaith's Fellowship Program and Reconstructionist congregations into GreenFaith's Certification Program. GreenFaith also partnered with the JRF to offer a webinar on 'Jewish Teachings on the Environment'.

GreenFaith is very pleased to announce a 3 year partnership with the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation (JRF) to offer environmental resources and opportunities to Reconstructionist leaders and congregations.  See Rabbi Shawn Zevit speak about the Reconstructionist Movement's work in sustainability.

Through the partnership, we are offering:

* Three 50% tuition scholarships/year to the GreenFaith Fellowship Program for Reconstructionist leaders.

* Four 50% tuition scholarships/year to the GreenFaith Certification Program for Reconstructionist congregations.

We are delighted to announce that String of Pearls in Princeton, New Jersey became the first Reconstructionist community to apply and be accepted to the Certification Program. Rabbi Donna Kirshbaum, String-of-Pearl's rabbi, is also a graduate of the GreenFaith Fellowship Program. The next deadline to apply to the Certification Program is May 1, 2012.

On January 31st, 2012, GreenFaith and the JRF offered a webinar on Jewish Teachings on the Environment, led by Rabbi Fred Dobb of Adat Shalom synagogue.

Watch the recording of the webinar today, and review the PowerPoints that were used/referenced:

In addition, the JRF offers a wealth of follow-up web resources to help you reach your 'greening' goals.
