GreenFaith Wind Power Purchase for Households December 2015
Stopping Climate Change One Simple Step At A Time
This December, world leaders will meet to try to reach the first ever international climate treaty that includes all nations of the world.
As people of faith, we need to do our part to protect the incredible gift of God’s creation. It is our moral duty to protect the poor, future generations, and the world’s ecosystems from the devastating harm of climate change.
That’s why GreenFaith is launching a 100% clean power purchase group for households.
By switching your home or apartment to 100% wind power you are taking a concrete, simple step towards sustainability.
We’re partnering with Groundswell, a nonprofit that organizes communities to buy clean energy together, getting a better price than they would on their own. They pool together a large number of people, and negotiate with energy suppliers for the best contract terms. Groundswell has worked with faith communities to switch over 4,000 homes and organizations to clean energy.
Between now and December 12th, if you are based in New Jersey, you can switch your home or apartment to 100% wind power through the GreenFaith-Groundswell group campaign.
If you pay an electricity bill each month (owning or renting), and are not under another third party electricity contract, you're eligible to participate.
Switching is Simple – This is How It Works
Click here to see your price for 100% wind. There's no commitment: see your price, and then decide if it's right for you. On average, most participants see a $4-5 increase in their monthly bills.
Enter your name, your electricity provider, and your account number. There is no interruption in service and no installation: in most cases you will keep paying just one bill for electricity each month.
