One Earth, One Human Family
March to St. Peter's Square
On June 18, Pope Francis will release his eco-encyclical - Praised Be.
On Sunday, June 28, Catholics, people of diverse faiths, and people of goodwill will take part in a March from Piazza Farnese in Rome to St. Peter's Square in Vatican City. The March will be called One Earth, One Human Family.
We'll thank Pope Francis for Praised Be and call for climate action by world leaders.
The March will be an epic celebration. There'll be drummers, kites, choirs, banners, and more - an incredible, rainbow procession that shows how passionately faith communities care about climate change.
Global Climate Chorus
Around the world, diverse faith communities will show solidarity with the March by ringing their bells, sounding their gongs, chimes, or shofars, or by simply going outside to pray.
We'll have more information available soon - along with a dedicated site for the March and Chorus.
Who's Organizing the March?
One Earth, One Human Family is being organized by an international team of Catholic, multi-faith and civil society partners. OurVoices - the multi-faith climate campaign of GreenFaith and the Conservation Foundation, is joining with Rome's FOCSIV and a host of other groups.
Wherever you are in the world, your faith community or organization, or your civil society group, can endorse the March and the Chorus. Stay tuned for instructions and for a full list of endorsing groups.
