Energy Conservation in Religious Institutions
There are two dimensions to energy conservation:
technological and human. It's been GreenFaith's experience
that the human is by far the more important. Religious institutions
can develop good energy habits and learn basic conservation
skills, most of which are just good common sense. Often,
our grandparents knew these skills, but they've fallen out
of use over the past thirty years. And remember: the best
energy technology does no good if the people who manage your
facility don’t
use and maintain it properly.
What follows are five steps
your institution can take to foster energy conservation
and the twelve priority measures to reduce energy consumption
and pollution.
