Windmill in Atlantic City Stewardship

God saw all that God had made, and behold, it was very good.
– Genesis 1:31

GreenFaith helps religious institutions and their members adopt sustainable consumption habits.

Global consumption patterns damage the Earth, whether it’s the slash-and-burning of the Amazonian rain forests, the burning of coal to power the rise of China or the consumption of the advanced economies of the developed world. Yet to whom much is given, much is asked… Americans, who consume more than the citizens of any nation on Earth, have today a responsibility and an opportunity to change the patterns of their consumption.

The good news?  Environmentally preferable, life-enhancing alternatives exist. In this "Stewardship" section of our website, you'll find out about GreenFaith's programs to help religious institutions and individuals green their consumption habits, and how to take part in those programs. You'll also find a wealth of information to help you learn more about how to reduce the impact of your consumption on the environment every day.

O children of Adam, eat and drink, but do not be wasteful.
Allah does not like wastefulness!

– Koran, Sura 7:31
