GreenFaith Shield Webinar Recording

Introductory webinar about the GreenFaith Shield on October 21st at 12:30 pm ET

“This program keeps environmental issues on the front burner without overtaxing volunteers.  It’s a wonderful payoff morally, and brought our entire community together.”
Rev. Lynne Weber, Church of the Atonement

As your congregation plans for the Fall, are you looking for an environmental program that’s meaningful, manageable and fun? Is environmental stewardship a priority, but time and funds limited?

Watch a 30-minute webinar to learn more about the GreenFaith Shield – an environmental merit badge for faith communities.  And download the PowerPoint presentation used.

The Shield helps you focus a weekend on an environmental topic, and complete a few simple, effective steps within the building and on the grounds.  GreenFaith provides all the resources you need.  When your efforts are complete, you’ll receive an e-logo for your website and a certificate celebrating your work.  There are two Shields available—Water and Energy.

Shield participants have seen tremendous results:

• Energizing worship services - “the most fun I’ve had all year”

• Opportunities to engage members of your community

• Cost savings – often in the thousands of dollars

• Fun and engaging activities with members of all ages

• Coverage in local, regional, and even  national media

“It’s a program you can wrap your arms around—everything is clearly laid out.  It engaged all of our ministries, and left the community much more conscious.”                                                    Elizabeth Atkins, Christ our Light Catholic Church
