The GreenFaith Fellowship Program:
Who We Are Seeking
GreenFaith draws our Fellows from a national audience of ordained and lay leaders, to be selected through a competitive application process. We seek to have each Fellowship class be diverse in ethnicity, geography, religious tradition, and socio-economic background.
GreenFaith is especially interested in applicants who are:
- Theologically-educated and/or ordained leaders in the early stages of their vocational lives, who sense a calling to make environmental issues a major focus of their work.
- Ordained and lay leaders from African American, Latino, and Asian communities, low-income communities, and rural communities
- Mid-career religious professionals, monks or nuns for whom environmental engagement offers an opportunity for a redefinition or renewal of their vocational lives.
- Lay leaders active on environmental concerns who want to develop the skills to deepen the impact of their work.
